ADAGIO is a 1927 Spanish Colonial mansion nestled at the base of 43 acres of the Gavilan Hills just south of Gilroy California before the cut off to highway 25. The home is directly accessible from southbound Highway 101. Turn right over the cattle guard, on the right side of the trees are 15 acres of fertile farmland planted with fresh peppers for market right now. The land to the north of the driveway is a real live working rural farm right to the Carneros Creek and the base of the Gavilan Hills.

Parallel rows of beautiful 50 foot tall mature trees line the 1/2 mile drive back past the 14 foot tall Fountain of Cherubs on to the fully tree lined motorcourt on the west side of ADAGIO. The 6600 square foot white with brown trim Old California building is tucked carefully on the property for its views and conveniences. 3 lighted large ancient oaks and 2 lighted soaring redwoods frame the east side of several porticos and the large aggregate rock patio beneath the sizeable performance balcony of the second floor. On the east side looking toward the east, over 800 cherry trees have been planted for flowery spring weddings. Almost one acre of lawn and plantings of flowers - all with white leaves or flowers including mini roses, lilies, babys breath surround the patios and fill beneath the age old trees. On this side of the home, all 9 glass doors open to the fresh Gilroy air for easy access in and out to the outdoors and the rooms within.

Entering the front oversized original 1927 wooden door beneath a porch with Spanish influenced some say moorish mini arches eccentuating it above like a wedding cake, you enter the foyer with clay ceramic tile and 3 imposing arches splitting the room in two horizontally. Through those arches you can see the east landscaping, patios and the old trees and the new cherry trees behind the fresh flower planting just out the glass doors.

To the right up one stair is the tastefully crafted wine bar with a granite surface and a huge cherrywood cellar that holds over 1000 bottle of Rapazzini Wines. Perfect for serving you and your guests for your special day. Extra mini lighting has been installed like stars to make your guests and their jewelery and the wines sparkle. An oversized handicapped bathroom is available here with clay colored ceramic tile with green insets. A tall nickel no hands required faucetis mounted over the sink in a large granite counter so there is plenty of room for touchups. Lighting is provided by a quaint crystal chandelier and pin spots.

Lush red velvet curtains divide the space for additional privacy. A picture window at chest to head height looks to the southwest of the land. 3 glass doors open independently to the east side patio at the cellar level with a small wrought iron fenced area with columns with wrough iron fixtures on them. A few steps leed one down to the aggregate patio here or to the right to the Lily Rose Walk named area our maternal Grandmother.

To the left of the foyer is the grand traditional Spanish staircase with hand painted tiles mounted along the front surfaces and glistening hardwood treads to ascend to the 2nd floor Bridal Suite and Grooms Room. The wooden railing is mounted on the original restored 1927 wrought iron railing as it climbs gracefully to a landing with an octagon window straight above for stunning light and a traditional window out of side on the left wall for light to fill in the backgound for the pictures you will be posing for here.

The Bridal Suite overlooks the eastern side of ADAGIO with glass all the way across the room from the ceiling down the waist high. A small balcony with a sliding door overlooks the Lawn and redwood area to the north. Many have picked this spot to seat there guests on chairs on the lawn beneath the redwoods with a flower decorated arch at the edge leaving a beautiful backdrop of rural farmland extending away. Of course, you can see all of this from the Bridal Suite as you get ready. A private bath with shower and tub is attached. Large counter and sink area and a toilet for your private use this day is in this room.

The Grooms Room is next to the Bridal Suite. We also have another large room we have been calling the Bridal Party Suite which is huge and has another private bath tub and shower and room for up to 15 people to get ready or get undone.

The performance balcony that overlooks the east of the property can be reached from the Grooms Room or The Bridal Suite. It is large enough for a 4 piece band to play for your guests for the bridal party march or even for dancing later. It also is an awesome place to do the tradtitional Boquet Toss.

Downstairs on the north end of ADAGIO is the Fireplace Room from the east to 2/3 way backto the CUBE Room. The Fireplace Room has old fashioned thick stucco walls and fireplace completedly stuccoed excpet for an ornate carved mantel with grapes and vines. A lighted mirrored area above the mantel is perfect for a special portrtait or an extravagant flower presentation. 3 Glass doors open to the east for comfort and ease. Grand windows look out over the North Lawn and the redwoods and fields.

The Cube Room can be used for one large table or 3 or 4 sperate round or square tables. The Cube Room has 15 foot tall glass doors looking out to the Western Portico surrounded by flowering white trees of 8 feet of height, then the motorcourtyard trees of 40 feet and above that the Gavilan mountains. There is a Grand Picture window here that look outs to the North lawn and redwoods and field also. The Cube and Fireplace room will accomadate 70 comfortably. Next to this is a small one person guest bath.
